In County Tyrone a supermarket was aware theft was taking place but could not be sure if the customers or the staff were behind the losses.

On the advice of with Successful Security Ltd. hidden cameras were installed to monitor the till transactions. SSL would view all the tapes, which were time and till display linked, as statistics show that 85% of shop theft was down to the staff.

The results surprised the owner as 3 employees, who had been trusted over the years and become friends, were proven to be stealing from the till. During interviews carried out by SSL they admitted stealing £9000 and agreed to repay the amount in full.

Although originally thinking SSL was expensive, the owner now realises that she has made money out their services. Not only due to the money repaid and future theft stopped but, as the service is tax deductible, she has ended up with more in her pocket that she paid for the SSL package and service.
